Are You a Caregiver?
More than 380,000 New Yorkers are living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias. Responsibility often falls to a family member, such as a partner, child, or parent, to provide the care a loved one needs to remain at home. If you are helping a loved one to perform the usual activities of daily life, you are a caregiver.
Sunnyside Community Services’ CARE NYC recognizes that your challenges are unique. Facing the challenges of providing care for a loved one, you may feel lost or overwhelmed. You may experience stress and anxiety, neglect your own health and comfort, and become increasingly isolated.
You are not alone.
