Organizing Your Passwords + Free Printable

Password Cheat Sheet - lifehappensnow.com

When you start to be very active online – signing up for various courses, paying your bills and creating new social media accounts, you’re going to end up with a whole lot of passwords to remember.

With security getting even tighter, the passwords need to be more random and I don’t know about you but I can’t remember them all!  I was scribbling them on a piece of paper, putting post it notes all over the place, then I realized I needed something much neater and more organized so I created this Password Cheat Sheet.

Password Cheat Sheet - lifehappensnow.com

I know some people create a document on their computer and have all of their passwords listed there but what if you system crashes or the power goes?  Then what?

I also know there are apps that you can use to store your passwords but I haven’t tried any of them.

I’m going old school here and just writing them down!

I’m trying to get myself more organized and neaten my office area and figured this was an easy place to start.

If you’re tired of having little post its all over the place and need a better way of remembering, grab a hold of this printable.  Print as many as you need and if you trust everyone in your home, keep it nearby your work area, of if there is a trust issue, file it away but at least you know they’ll all be in one place.

Remember to:

  • change your passwords often – at least once a month
  • don’t use the same password for all of your different accounts

How do you manage all of your passwords?

Weekend Wind Down

Weekend WInd Down - Life Happens Now

Do you ever actually wind down over the weekend?  When you work from a home office most days, it’s sometimes hard to differentiate between weekday and weekend.  Other than not having to make school lunches!

I try to get up early while my girls are still sleeping to read, journal and get some work done.  If I’m doing work that doesn’t need my undivided attention (like editing photographs), I like to listen to something inspirational in the background.

This week I’ve been listening to  30 Days of Genius at CreativeLive

I can’t say enough good things about CreativeLive. I just love them!  They have tons of free online workshops in all areas of creativity and business.  I’ve watched them grow from just being about photography to branching out into so many different areas.  The great thing is you can watch for free while it’s live and then decide if you want to purchase the program to watch over and over again at your leisure.  I think I own about 7 programs so far.

The 30 Days of Genius started on Monday and goes through until May 31.  Each day photographer and entrepreneur Chase Jarvis – (he’s so cool – I met him at a B&H Photo party one year) will be interviewing a “creative genius”.

Total City Girl (Stacey Natal), Chase Jarvis

I’m a little behind but so far I watched Mark Cuban (from Shark Tank) and I’m in the middle of Seth Godin’s interview  They’ve been great so far and I’m so excited for the rest!

If you also want to be inspired, head over to the CreativeLive website and sign up to receive the daily emails with links to the interviews.

It’s also Mother’s Day weekend!  How will you be celebrating?  We’ll be going out to lunch both days.  I love going to restaurants so I’m really looking forward to it.  We’ll be trying a new place (for us)- Bar Taco.   I’ll let you know how it is.

Tell me about your weekend plans.

Welcome To Life Happens Now!

Life Happens Now with Stacey Natal

Hey Everyone!

I’m so excited for this new venture!

Let me tell you a bit about what you can expect here.

I’m Stacey – a NYC photographer, mom and creative entrepreneur.  I’ve had my own business for many years now – not necessarily the same business though!  There have been many twists and turns along the way.

I’m starting this site to provide a resource of inspiration, encouragement and necessary tools to other moms wanting to break out and start their own creative venture whether it be a full or part time business or side project.

As a mom I know how life can feel so overwhelming at times especially when you have many things to juggle – kids, family, maybe even a job, that it seems like there’s no time left to focus on yourself and your interests.  You give all that you have to everyone else and then you’re basically left feeling drained.

I get it!  About  a year and a half ago I joined  a program with the intentions of growing my photography business.   I was expecting to learn things about pricing, sales, etc but in module one we first spoke about money mindset.  It was like an aha moment for me and I’ve been obsessed ever since with studying, learning and putting into practice mindset and personal growth techniques.

I wanted to combine my 3 passions here and the areas where I feel I can be of most help:

Mindset – I am soooo NOT the woo woo type of person but I have been open to learning new things.  I’ll share those with you here – what’s been working and what is still a little too out there for me.

Creativity – needing to be creative is just a part of me – no different than my arm or leg.  It’s something I’ve always been drawn to.  It’ s something I HAVE TO do to feel fulfilled.  There are so many ways to be creative!  For me it comes in the form of photography, design, cooking and crafts.

Online Business Basics – when you first get started the online world can seem overwhelming – creating a website or blog, navigating social media, and figuring out the latest hot platforms like Instagram.  I also have a techie side to me having designed many websites and  in my previous life I was even a programmer and systems analyst.  Crazy to think of now!  I always had that left brain / right brain battle going on.  Still do!

Inspiration – whether it’s a quote or book I find that will be uplifting I’m always eager to share!  I also want to bring on some success stories from other women in different fields who have managed to have  a family but still be successful in their own creative business.  I know for me hearing these stories gets me even more excited to keep going!

If you feel like you need a mentor, I’ll have different options for working with me.  Stay tuned!

In the meantime, get on my email list so you can get updates, tips and inspiration.  Life Happens Now!  It’s time to start putting yourself first and get going!  Looking forward to seeing how you take off!
